Addressing the needs of interventional radiologists and spinal oncology specialists, CavityWand will offer a proven, safe, targeted treatment option for malignant and primary lesions*

The micro-invasive percutaneous treatment is delivered through an 8g or 11g cannula and promises targeted cavity creation within the vertebra, allowing for effective fracture stabilisation through follow-on techniques such as vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty.CavityWand utilises plasma-mediated molecular dissociation rather than heat to ablate and de-bulk metastatic and primary tumours. The relatively low temperatures (typically 42°C 1) generated during CavityWand use, versus the significantly higher temperatures of conventional RF thermal ablation devices, preserves the integrity of surrounding healthy tissue.*CavityWand is currently in development and not licensed for sale.
